I was rather alarmed to see Norbert on his side, thrashing around, near the bottom of his substrate! He was kind of curled up, very intense, very silver.

Whew. Flash flash flash of silver. Hah-hah, when I called him, he came to the front of the tank. Turned out he was chasing a small moth that kept flying around the tank, probably because of the light. The moth kept flying around, and Norbert was flashing and snapping his fishlips at it. I saw that Norbert was chasing the moth, which was outside the tank. He wanted it!!!! I felt so bad for not giving Norbert the live moth that I later caught another live one for him. He devoured it. It's hardly an endangered species around here.

I still can't get a great pic of Norbert. He's much more silver than he looks here. First one shows all his colors, which the camera captures but you really don't see unless you look closely at him "in person." The second one looks more silver like he looks to the eye (I reduced the color), but I really haven't been able to capture his silvery shimmer on camera yet:

Oh yeah! He really loved the live moth. Grabbed it and devoured it like it was the most delicious thing. It was fun to see him shake it, mean little guy! I don't feel sorry for moths, sorry. I think it's safe, as we have desert tortoises here and therefore don't have any pesticides inside the house or surrounding it.

Yeah, but, the dragon deceives! He really doesn't look that colorful to the naked eye. Only the camera and the dragon know. I just wish I could get a pic of his shimmering silver.

All those colors are there, when you see him "in person." They're all there.

But there's something about Norbert's metallic silvery body and fins combined with the water that creates that sort of "rainbow" and I just can't capture his most metallic silvery, flashy looks. What can I say? He's a magic dragon.

You and Shawnie are obviously part of a conspiracy, accusing my boy of being ugly and without color. Shawnie says the flash is picking up color he doesn't have. To think how naive I was to fall for Shawnie's trick of accusing him to be without color ... now there's you, accusing him of being ugly. Conspiracy, no doubt!
