What are your water parameters and temperature?

This might help in finding out whats wrong with him.

It's got to be a huge adjustment for him. He might just need time.

I know your tank is cycled, is the water nice and warm? Use some Stress Coat and add a few drops of garlic.
He has places to hide?

Like I said he might just need some adjustement time.

My internet keeps going in and out, I hope this posts.

If you're showing nitrites, you should start with water changes and get it back to 0.
He could be feeling the effects of them.

Just a couple drops of garlic juice would be fine. Do you have aeration?

Don't stress him out. I would do 50%, just scoop the water out gently.
What are your nitrate readings?

Is there a chance the filter might be producing too strong a current for him?

Hes been in a small cup for a while and suddenly the increased space to check out and the water movement from the filter might be making him tired?

Can you reduce the filter output? or put lots of plants in front of the filter to help suppress the water movement?

Sorry, dang interent, lol, I had tried to respond, but my internet went out again.

The fact that your showing nitrates is a good thing.
I know it's late now. I hope you did a water change to get the nitrites down.

Test again tomorrow if you're showing ammonia or nitrites, change it again.

Good luck, let us know how he's doing. I love the name! Is that from King of The Hill?
