Thanks what do think of Ray's tail? He's supposed to be a crowntail of some kind.

They're beautiful Bettas. Ray does have some tail fin damage, either from fin rot or tearing his fin on something (or nipping his fin). I would start adding Fish Protector, Garlic Guard and Vita-Chem to his tank daily (1-2 drops per gallon of each) if you have them and watch his fins for any more fin loss. Stock Triple Sulfa and Rid Fungus just in case you need to treat him for fin rot.

I got him about a week ago and he was like that when I picked him out. (he looked so pathetc see the full story in my other thread "a story") It looks as though he is getting a bit of regrowth. Thanks for the info I'll go out and grab the stuff you mentioned. Probably a good thing to have on hand with 3 betta's in the house anyway.

Regrowth is a great sign and most likely means he doesn't have fin rot, just fin damage that's healing.

I was hoping the clean water would help bring him back I'm getting really curious to see what his colours will end up like the blue on his fins has a real metallic color.

I love your tanks And Both Betta's are Beautiful...I am usually drawn to the light colored ones for some reason.

My favorites are the ones that have almost no body coloration and vibrant fins. I didn't realise that betta's colored up after purchase when I bought my first boy. But even when he turnend teal I still loved him. Ray I think will keep his light colored body and I can't wait till his tail grows back. And Babie... well she's just too cute.
