Thanks all for your congratulations. I am on the edge of my seat for this boy. I have a 6.6 bookshelf for him that just needs to be repaired (tonight's project) until I can get him his own 10g; two big sponges have been seeding in my large overstocked tank for two weeks already in anticipation of more betta boys. All I'm lacking is some really nice smooth glass pebble substrate for that long-finned beauty.
It's been really rough with moving, painting, and trying to get all my limbed and finned family settled in to our new place, there's been so much chaos in the house and I'm just glad that I'll still have the opportunity to get him even though I have so much else on my plate right now. I'm awfully nervous about him, I keep hoping that his journey is quick and safe, and wonder what it would be like to come all the way from Thailand in the mail... scary!

I remember how you are feeling. I had to wait a few weeks b/c Heather got the Thai shipment where she lives an hour away from me. I had to wait another week after she got them. She delivered him to me.
The girls on the betta breeders site told me that betta are the easiest fish to ship due to their size and their labyrinth organ.

Well I just got an email from Danai at ElegantBettas with the info I need to send her money, I'm going to send it tonight but it will take a few days to show up for her. After that I will have to wait on the shipment itself... I guess there is a transhipper here in Washington, I'm really hoping he is in Seattle and will be willing to let me come pick the new boy up, I'd like to get him into a comfortable home as quickly as possible after that long, rough journey!
