Digging in Marbles?

Has anyone with marble substrate for their Betta's seen this?
Dietrich has started burying herself in the marble substrate,so far 3 times!!!The first time I thought she had jumped out somehow then I spotted her red fin I don't want her to hurt herself...Is this OK?

Hmm I just would worry about her getting caught and not being able to get out to breath....don't know if that could happen or not .

I've never seen a betta do this but I've had a baby platy and a pygmy cory get trapped in the marbles. Both were ok but it freaked me out!

This post is exactly what I needed to see! YES! I have a boy who does that! I have been wondering if something was wrong with him mentally lol....He's the same boy who has an obbsession with Bubble nesting and chewing his own tail....It is none other than my gorgeous Patron! I watch him bury his head sit there and then back out...

Those are great shots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wonder what they are thinking while doing this? The 1st time I heard the marbles moving it scared the (you know what ) out of me!

so marble bottoms are great for bettas?

That is very interesting, and I too would be scared of my betta getting stuck and not going back up to breathe..

Mine four always do that with marbles. I thought JB was dead under one last week. It's drives me nuts, especially with all the deaths around here lately.
