The first bacterial infection battle I'm actually winning! Mango takes his garlic juice-drenched bloodworms and betta bits very well, jumping out of the water about TWO INCHES to attempt to get the bloodworm I had for him (garlic flavored too!), his fins are looking a little better, got him some more ORGANIC garlic, juiced it, and mixed it with a little treated tap water, and put it in his water for a little supplement when he's not eating. He was nipping at himself, but has now stopped for good. I've been making water changes every other day and giving the water some rid-fungus on the days I dont clean his water. All water was good when I took it to the LFS today, and the dude there said fish just get sick sometimes. If there is something I should(n't) be doing, please tell me. He's looking good.

BTW, will his fins ever FULLY heal?

I'm glad he is doing better and yes his fins will grow back......It just takes time...

time and patience... the two things I could never take or have enough of. But I can't jinx myself, I must stay strong! And so must Mango.

So glad he's getting better.

The betta I rescued months ago from Deathco is showing some white regrowth even now, so it's a slow process. It seems to really boost the growth when you feed them garlic regularly, though.

Glad to hear good news on Mango. His fins will fully heal up, but don't always totally go back to the same as they were before the damage.
