Impropper diet.

Can a bettas finnage suffer due to impropper diet, i bought it from a fish store where it was only fed fish flakes The fins looked half eaten and depleated when i bought it. the poor bugger needed saving.

Any how i feed him blood worms and he gobbles em down so quick like hes never going to see em again.

Anyhow, will his fins grow fully back the way they should be ?

Hi, Aww, poor thing, I hope in your care he will recover quickly.

Just like any living thing a betta can suffer from not having a proper diet.

They can be little piggies so be careful not to over feed.

Yea, they can grow back. Just keep his water extra clean with more frequent water changes.. and if you can, add liquid vitamins and/or garlic supplements.

Yes, I do not know what you mean by gobbles but he should not have more than 4 bloodworms at any meal and no more than 2 meals a day or you risk causing constipation or swim bladder disorder from overfeeding and that can be very serious. It is just too much for their stomachs. Their stomach is only the size of their eye and does not hold that much. But they are piggy fish and will overeat if you let them.

HE probably would eat them but would not last long as it would soon have him totally uncomfortable tummy wise. They will literally eat themselves to death if they are allowed to. Bettas have no self discipline LOL.

Bettas sound like me at the all-you-can-eat buffet.
