Well, as some of you may know, I went to "the city" to get some fish stuff. Mom got a 55 gallon with everything, I got some Macryan (sp?) for Poe and she was just browsing one of the stores and I of course wandered over to look at the Betta's. Death Bowls

My mom said "One of these would look great at my office" Well, she saw me

and said "Oh, maybe not". I educated her on Betta's as we left and went to a Thrift Store across the road to look for a dresser for me (I'm in college and need a cheap one :P) Of course, again, I stroll over and what do they have, a 10 gallon "kit"! Downside, $20. I somehow walked out with it for $15, not the greatest deal, but alright.
So, my mom says, if I pay you back, can I put a Betta in there for my office? I said yeah, we'll do a Betta rescue

So I looked at one I had almost grabbed earlier and she looked at one and picked him. I regretably put mine down and she said "I guess they can't live together eh?" I said "No, but we could divide it" She liked that idea

So, we both grabbed our Betta's of choice and after a long drive home, got them set up. Turns out the filter and heater I got didn't work (didn't like the heater anyways), but the hood does. So, I need to order a new filter (have my Eheim from my cichlid tank running on it right now) and a heater.
My mom's is a purply-ish one she calls "Purple Haze" after the Jimi Hendrix song

I named mine "X"

I dunno why, that's just what he seemed like to me. No pictures yet, but hopefully tommorow

They're on my kitchen table right now, so they're enjoying all the attention we can throw at them

The divider from PetSmart seems to be working alright, I have a piece of Plexi-Glass overtop so they can't jump over to visit each other. Hopefully by this time tommorow I'll have pictures for you guys and girls
