Thanks everyone! Have some of those guys in the spawning tank right now... hopefully they'll cooperate! They're all sort of works in progress.
Allie, yes I'm in the BBC as well... I don't think I've ever posted pics there though, but maybe I just can't remember.

Pandora...This question came up a while back...Do females flare?

Females can flare up a storm!

Yes, they definitely can flare! They have a bit less extra gill cover happening so it's not as big a flare, but definitely is a flare.
They can also build nests... and even raise fry if a male isn't there (someone did an experiment on that, I'll see if I can find the link, it was really interesting)
Pretty much anything a boy can do except fertilize eggs!
