I layer my marbles over the gravel and haven't had any problems, except that I usually take the marbles out when I vacuum the gravel, otherwise they work their way down into it.

Vita-Chem, Garlic Guard and Fish Protector would all be good to add while using Triple Sulfa.

Anything to reduce stress is good.

And should I add the API Stress Coat to the water when I move him just to help him out?

The big move starts tomorrow night, we are going to move his tank last, on Friday morning and then set it up first (ha ha he gets his home done before us!)
