Aw Karen that is terrible. I didn't know Anberlin's story...that is so sad. I didn't want kids but made sure I never got pregnant. Some women!!
I am so sad for you. I see my Dad's connection with my 3 yr old niece Brooklyn & she doesn't live with him. I cannot imagine how you are feeling. My heart is aching for you.

Thank you John and Allie...Yes, this is a possibility....It just can't happen right now because our pool business is keeping us in AZ for another year at least....All my kids live in CA once Landon moves so I will be working hard to get back out there to be close to them (all 5 of them!)

I'm sorry to hear this, it's a tough situation for you and her, but I hope the adjustment is easier than it feels like it will be. She needs to come visit Barney every weekend, since it sounds like it would be better for him to stay there given the difficulties of transporting Bettas over a distance.

I am so sorry I missed this thread when you posted it. I am so sorry to hear what you and Amberlin are going through. I know that she is much more like a child than a grandchild to you, and I am sure that this must be such a tough time for you. Hang in there! You have been such a good mommy to her, and distance will not change how much she loves you. You will still be such a big part of her life. You have done such a good job raising her thus far, and you should be so proud of yourself. It takes a special person to do what you are doing. Just think, in one more year, you could be in California living close to her again. Remember, this is just a temporary struggle. You will be together again soon. I know that her daddy has her best interests at heart and I am sure that he will do his best to give her the best life he can out there. I am here for you if you need anything, and I hope that it all works out. I am sending a big hug your way, and I hope that you are feeling a little better today.

I hope that her daddy will maintain a computer connection for her to see pictures of her Barney and Granny often so she can maintain the best contact possible all the time. Awwwwwwwww Thank you Pam......Landon returned from CA on Sunday and he is packing.....We had a nice dinner last night.....His girlfriend and I made stuffed bell peppers.....It just doesn't seem real to me quite yet.....I appreciate you thinking of me....You already know what I'm going to have to do to ease the pain once they are gone right? lol

Pam....I'm hanging in there.....They still haven't left....Escrow didn't close on the house yet......They are planning on leaving Sat. now as Landon has to be back at work on Tues... It looks like I'll get a few more days with my Annie banannie....
