Felix had a visitor last night

This morning I woke up to Sunny and Felix on the same side of their 5g hospital tank. To my surprise they both look untouched. They both swam up to me like they were suppose to be together or something. Looking for food side by side.
Gosh I can't wait until this treatment is all over with. Then Felix can have his tank back. It been bleached and is now cycling.

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to leave them together?

Naughty bettas!

Yeah it would. A 33g with a bunch of male Betta would be so cool. *wakes up from dreaming*

And what did MOMMY do after her cardiac arrest?? Oh my goodness! That would be a huge surprise and shock.

I am happy that they were behaving themselves and being such good boys. It really would be lovely if they could stay together and play but we all know where that would lead eventually. Too bad...

Hope they enjoyed the visit.

Fumbled around for the Betta net like a fool. ANd looked for fin damage...they both had some good fin growth and I am relieve that no one ruined that.
Felix is very submissive and Sunny is very dominant, so I imagine Felix hid in the castle the whole time. lol

I would have dropped down dead. Then come to life again to scramble around and attempt to seperate the bettas as soon as possible. Then I would be dead again.

When I first seperated my 10 I was afraid to leave the room in case they somehow got over.

I have had Aries, Jasper, Buster and Holly all visit someone else with some fin damage. I was very surprise there was none this time.

LOL Allie "Visiting the neighbours for a spot 'o tea mum, back by two!"

Mischievous boys! I have my new rescues Esteban and Consuela in bowls side by side until their divided 10 gallon is cycled... Consuela is fat with eggs and constantly making eyes at Esteban... who is being quite the ham showing off to her all the time. I'm worried that unless I'm really careful with their new set-up, Esteban will be hopping the fence to pay his girlfriend a visit when mommy isn't watching... lol!

Betta boys say, "Rules are made to be broken!!"

So glad yours decided to play nice!!

just keep your water line well below your divider or lots of plants at the top so they cant jump something I learned the hard way

Sunny went under the divider...with round marbles if they aren't place just so near the divider the smart little buggers can move them.
Yes and lower the water line some can hop pretty high.

very true! I did make sure the divider was on a bare tank with marbles stocked up around the bottom...but totally filled it up to the top not remembering bettas can fly ...still glad hes ok!!

I've got pea gravel in Esteban and Consuela's future tank under the marbles so the divider has something really solid to be firmly planted in. I'm also creating a shaped piece of foam to devise a seal that will be practically airtight resting between the divider and the hood... I'd like to see them get past that!

I really should learn to never say never, though...

I promise to post some, maybe with step-by-step instructions for the divider-seal, once it's complete. Shouldn't be too hard... I'm just waiting for payday -- again.

A 4" wide piece of craft plastic canvas cut the length of the divider's width makes a good "T" top to cover so they cannot hop over no matter how high the water line is. It is pretty much fool proof. They cannot hop over the top with that thing laying on top of the divider and making a 4" wide barrier to them being able to get over. It sure stopped mine and I was able to have the water level all the way up but they hated being cramped up so I quit when my population went down and went to one per tank and will not be dividing again.
