This Guy, I would watch your Ghost Shrimp when it molts. Shrimp is the bettas first food and when the shrimp is unprotected from the betta female by its shell, it will probably become DINNER. Many an owner has posted "what happened to my shrimp? It was there and now it is nowhere to be found but my betta is bloated." Guess what? The betta had a high protein meal and will probably end up very constipated. Probably not the best of combinations.

Be careful on Bettas and Platys. We tried that our first week keeping fish & our Betta took off 3 Platy fins when they decided to check out the new fish and he felt threatened.
