So I posted this up last night, but it must have gotten deleted during that 'crash'.

Last night I was fixing the tubing that leads to my airstone in the 15 gallon tank, and I accidently bumped it a bit making it come out from under the gravel. Whenever I reach in my tank, my female (Jazzie) that's in there plays around and nibbles at my hand. I don't think much of it, cause she's done it since I bought her; but this was the cutest thing she's ever done!

I reached in the fix the air stone, and she swam right over and swam through, under and over all my fingers a couple of times. She was bumping them around and playing around my hand.

After a couple of minutes (I thought it was the cutest thing I'd ever seen, so I let her do it to her hearts content! ) She bumped all my fingers so they were close enough together that they were touching, then just rested in my hand.

She was right up against my fingers, and stayed there for about two minutes before noticing her buddie, my marbled molly, and swimming off to play with him.

She's never done that before, and I thought it was too cute!

My Jewel RIP use to do that. She'd sit in my cupped hand.
When I last cleaned Sebastian's tank he nipped me so hard. It felt like someone pinched me. Left an itty bitty red mark too. LOL

My boy Casey nips me whenever i put my hand in to clear the syphon if gravel gets in the way. He actually leaves two red marks on my hand.

my Raymond is a "snuggly" boy, too! He'll rest in my cupped hand if I leave it still for him. When I wiggle my fingers, he nips at me like he's saying "stop moving, mom!" I never would have believed a fish could be affectionate!

That's why I love Bettas. They seem to know who you are and show you they love you. ^^

Wow.. I've never had them leave any red marks, even when they latch on and shake my finger.

I know, I actually looked it up after he did it to see if it was normal.

I've never heard of anyone say their Betta actually BIT them.

Honey used to do that too. In fact on the day she died i put my hand in to fix a plant and she swam up and lay on my fingers, i have a pic of it somewhere, i'll have to post it.
