Hidden Dangers

It is said that plastic plants cut Betta fins like razorblades. Leaving them more likely to become ill. Silk plants are highly recommended over plastic. Thats why I use only Silk plants.

Nets are said to tear fins. Thats why I use a plastic container to scoop my Betta into. I have had bad experiences with nets and Betta fins.

Betta's can jump very well. Always keep whatever your Betta is in covered. Also, make sure air can get through the lid for the Betta to get fresh air when he breaths.

I use nets on my bettas but they are the very nice Utili-nets and they are large and very soft and I keep them in Net Soak between fish so they do not get stiff or dirty. I have never had a problem with them and I do not forsee any.

Thanks but I think most of us betta people know this stuff. As you can tell just about everyone chats betta here. I haven't any problems with nets except when there is a hole in them.

Hello Sunakire
Thanks for posting reminders on Betta Care as you seem to love your Betta and want the very best for it, and for wanting to be helpful to other newbee's as well.
