To everyone who has a 6.6 Gal bookshelf tank:
Could you, please, give me advice about my new bookshelf tank. The water in the filter canister overflows and runs down into the tank on the right side of the filter body. I reduced the flow but now it is way too low (the only way to keep water inside the filter canister) and I'm concerned that my tank will not stay clean.
Is it normal for this tank? Have you ever experienced this problem with your bookshelf tanks? If so how did you correct it? Thanks a lot.

That's not something any of our tanks have done and we have 5 of them. Do you have a pic of the filter? It sounds like it could be defective.

It looks like the filter pad doesn't allow enough water to go through itself . When I take the filter pad out of the filter system water doesn't overflow. But as soon as I put the filter pad back water starts to rise and runs down on the right side.

i have 2 of these on my betta 10 gal does the lid fit tight on the top and is the media pushed down all the way? I have never had problems with mine the one you have is rated 2-10 gals right?

Hmm.. it does look like the filter cartridge is kind of high. I only used the cartridges that they came with for a week, then put in a piece of the filter media that I use along with a couple of filter sponges.
