So about 2 hours ago I put her in the 15g with the 3 diamond tetra and otos. The diamonds are about the same size as her and she isn't even bothering them. Diamond are not fin nippers and are very sketchy so they shouldn't bother her. I am going to watch all day to see if she gets nasty.
Right now she seems to be more interested in me across the room.
I want my girl in her own tank away from the boys in the divided.
I am betting her betta tendencies will get her back in there with them.

So far this seems to be working out. Holly has been the lone survivor of a sorority betta tank. She isn't being aggressive toward the diamonds at all. They are timid and fast so they won't bother her anyway.
She has been watching me watch her too. So maybe she'll be evil over night when I am not looking. lol

Honestly I have never had problems with females in a community tank (not multiple females together). I had one in with two angels and a school of tetras for a while. I also had one in with my keyhole cichlids and cories It will be interesting to see how Holly adapts to her new surroundings. Good luck!

She's more interested in the otos than the diamonds. She chases them for a second then goes about her business.
I had two female ct betta in a community tank in 2006 and they only bickered once in awhile. They just kept to their part of the tank.

I would love to put my female betta in my community tank. I'm just afraid she won't get enough food with my very fast and greedy barbs and neons who are all bigger than she is.

Wow Holly seem to be really comfortable in that tank. It's like she can't see the tetra at all. She chases the otos but not fish which are just a tad smaller than she is.
