Although I am still sad about losing my Newt My girlfriend (who does not have fish) heard about my sad story and took me out to get a new girl(she thought it would cheer me up)She's so sweet and thoughtful!!!
Anyway there were only 3 girls there,1 a blue like Bonnie and 2 (I think you call the color cellophane,Though they were not as small as Newt was,I am more attracted to the lighter colors,and this one caught my eye

Thanks...I'm loving her!!I really wasn't that keen on getting a new girl that soon after losing Newt...but my friend went to such trouble trying to cheer me up,that I couldn't disappoint her.Funny thing was when I got home and told my hubby later about it and I mentioned there were only 3 girls there,he said 'let me guess,you got all 3?"been thinking about that comment ever since (evil laugh)
I still haven't named her yet
I just loved the name Newt!

Yea, sounds to me like he said "Go back & get the other 2."

I find they name themselves pretty quick as you watch their personality emerge.

I am a lucky woman
I plan on getting a new tank or 2 when I get Dr's ok to go back to work I have been out for a couple weeks now with a broken ankle
I'm thinking a 5 gallon qt/hspt tank and possibly another 10 (divided)
I think I got the Betta Bug (LOL)

The trouble is the Betta Bug is a permanent condition. Once you've been bitten, there will be at least 2 or more in your place.

Dallas is adorable! Is this the same fish from your first photo? She sure colored up nicely once she was acclimated to her new home!
Im so glad to see the females find homes... since most times they are over looked in the LFS for the more showy males.
