No. She still has that bump on her chin, though...

I've been thinking this since I first came here, since people's fishies keep getting sick and/or dying. It's been making me paranoid, and it gives the off-putting impression to newcomers that bettas aren't overly hardy and are filled with nothing but heartache. They need to just stop getting sick and dying...lovable little stinkers.

Well said Luna! These little guys drive me crazy with all of the drama they cause with their sickness and death. They need to stop giving us so much heartache! For some reason I think bettas are harder to keep than many community fish because of all of the fin rot problems. They have the reputation of being easy fish to keep, but they certainly are not!

BTW, my post was not meant to discourage future betta owners. I'm just venting They are wonderful little fish and the joys that they give us far overshadow the stress that they cause

I know what you mean.. I look at my guys and wonder.... I feel so bad for all those here who have recently lost their betta babies.. knowing full well that those fish moms were wonderful and gave their betta's the best possible care.
But I know in my heart that those betta mommies will go out and find another sad betta in a cup and bring them home and give them a very happy life.
To me its the best thing to do in memory of their lost Betta's.

Once a betta mummy always a betta mummy!!! It has to be a painful learning curve when they die. We do owe it to them to help the next one we find!

I know I've been keeping a closer watch on Prissy (if that's possible).
It's been a sad time for the bettas here on the board and I know my heart aches for each and everyone one of you who have lost their betta babies.

I got two boys tonite..from vases...praying all nite they make it! Im crazy but been called worse and sure I will again..very well said luna!! stop it boys!!!

Yea, we just try to spoil and love our little Bettas for as long as we have them and pray that old age is what takes them away.
