CoBettaCouple from Dunn

Mommy just caught me offguard looking at my reflection and wanted to share it with you! Is he a regular Crowntail or a Delta?

Here's another.....Can you explain the difference between the double tails and the regular tails? All I know is I'm glad he was culled for whatever reason..I adore this little boy!

I'd see if Rose agrees, but he looks like he's either a super-delta crowntail or maybe even a halfmoon crowntail. It's very close.

I think he might have the genetics for double-tails in him too. He may have been culled from a double-tail spawning.

Looks like he has a full halfmoon spread to that Crowntail to me. It is close but it makes it to me.

The dip in the center of his rays makes him a double tail. If he was a standard Crowntail his rays would be extended evenly all around his tail. So technically I would class him as a Halfmoon Doubletail Doubleray Crowntail. How's that for a mouthful? And a Dalmation to boot! (note the spots!)

Since we are trying to get as many different types as possible for the calendar, he would be perfect.

He has:

Doubletail
Doubleray
Crowntail
Halfmoon spread
Dalmation coloration

That is a lot in his favor to offer for a place in the calendar.

What say you?

Yea, he should go in the calendar. Thanks for the clarification on his finnage type, Rose.

On that note, considering it came from a Betta expert, "Dunn" is officially in the 2009 Betta Calendar....
