Thats Great that he is doing that. He is building a bubblenest. The do that when they are happy and healthy. You must be doing a good job taking care of him. Nice betta too.

Male bettas take care of the babies, and to do so, they build bubble nests in which they suspend the eggs. It's amazing at how good of parents these guys are, considering how antisocial they are with adults of their species.

Bettas build bubble nests for different reasons. Sometimes to mate, or because of weather, even just because they just get in the mood.
