My little boy is a MAN!!!!!!!!! I knew he'd be a good breeder....Let's just hope he is a good Daddy! His Daddy was the best father!

Yes, the microworms are flourishing! I will be good to go! I am so nervous about this part though! Do they just stop at some time, or should I separate them? I am afraid to do that since she is the only one picking up the eggs!

Just leave them together until she goes away from the nest and stays away...Did anyone get torn up? When I did Mercy's spawn neither parent had a nip or tear...He may be just like his Daddy....

The girl has a couple fin tears, but not that bad. Mercy looks exactly the same! I will take pictures of each of them when they are separated!

Well I have just removed the female. she was over in the corner by herself, and she seemed like she had had enough of Mercy!LOL. I am posting a picture of her. She has a few tears in her lower fin(don't know the name of it) and one in her tail. Other than that, she came out swimmingly! She is happy in her warm tank now though!

Mercy is being a very good father and picking up all of the little eggs! I have a very good feeling about this! I will keep you posted! We should see little tails soon!

Thank you everyone! I was a little worried last night before I went to bed because I could not see much of a bubble nest, and I could not see very many eggs. Also, Mercy was no where near the nest at all, so I thought he had eaten them. I went to bed, left the light on, and this morning, there is a much more substantial bubble nest, and I think there are eggs in it! I will see later on this evening when they are supposed to start hatching.

Karen, have you ever had this happen to you?

Crossing my fingers!

Heather, this is very normal...My males always move the eggs around...You may not see hatching until tomorrow so don't be surprised if you don't.....Start looking for tails hanging from the eggs tonight....Remember, if the eggs are fertile they will appear a milky white...

Can you take a close up pic of the nest from underneath?

They were definately white, I am not sure about milky white though. What would they look like if they were not fertile?
I will take a picture now. How do I attach one like a thumbnail so that you can enlarge it?

Well the mama is feeling better in her own tank, and Mercy is tending the nest (sort of) We will know more by tomorrow if I start to see tails hanging down!

When I went to feed mama, I noticed she had made a massive bubble nest! Apparently, she felt that Mercy's was not acceptable enough, and she wanted to practice for next time!
