Hey everyone,
i just wanted to say thank you for everyone that helped me with advice about how to get my 2 bettas and my sisters betta moved to our new house. the move went great!! we first took my sisters betta, Calamarrie, to the new place and got him set up. that went fine. then we took my 2, Oscar and Skip, that went even better!! Me and my BFF had some problems getting them into their tanks though. sad to say Skips bag got dumped out and he fell to the floor!!! hes just fine though so dont worry..... he was a bit confused after it first happened but hes been fine now for the last 5 days after his fall. we got him back into the water right away. my BFF grabbed him up and luckily for him we had a tank already set up for him to go in!! thank God!!!! hes been just fine - no cuts no bruises, no obvious injuries and hes eating and swimming and playing. so i would say hes just fine!!! i will post some pics as soon as i can. well again thank you all so much for all the help!!! you are all great!!!

Good to hear from you Miley.. we were just thinking today about you and your move and wondering how it went. I'm glad your friend was quick to grab up Skip and i'm sure he's happy now. Those things happen, but you did really good moving them and i'm glad to hear they're all moved in and happy. i hope you're all moved in yourself, too.
I'm so glad that your move was successful. My Husband and I will eventually be moving hopefully before the yr is over. We have to sell our condo first. Hopefully it won't be too much of a pain to juggle everyone. Natalie

hmm.. yea, he has that look that says "i was dumped!" just teasing ya -- he looks totally fine and happy to me! great close up shot of him too.
btw: hi "Miley's Mom" and remember if you still have some furniture or can see carpet - you don't have enough bettas! : :P

I gotta say that of all the fish species.. the Betta has the most interest in contact with people that I have seen. Tho the Angel fish have to come in second with me, lol.. how they watch behind the glass when I walk by just waiting for the waitress to bring them their next meal, even if its only been minutes since they last ate! But boy do they really watch everything thats going on, just like the Bettas!
Bettas seem to be made to interact with us. Even the pair of wild mahachai bettas that we got are starting to show a little interest in getting attention and have learned when and where the food comes into the tank.

lol.. yea, cute daughters can do that. we got our mahachai pair at the betta show auction that we went to in may. you should see the babies now -- they're coloring up so they aren't so see-thru'ish and growing so they look just like tiny betta adults now. it's really cool watching how they grow & develop.
thanks, we do too.. it's going to be hard to give them up.. they have grown a bit since the last pics that i took and really are doing well. i'm going to try to take more pictures soon to put up on our fishblog. Have you seen the pics of them on our fishblog? all of our pictures of them go up there.
This thread makes me miss my Betta . When my job moved offices, I let my niece babysit him(big mistake). He was so close to me, he would even let me pet him....
lol!!!!!! my mom loves that i like fish/ bettas. my favorite fish are bettas and bala sharks. my mom loves that!!!!! she said sinces im 14 1/2 and will be moving out in a few years i should wait and get another betta after i move out but i still just keep askin her!! LOL!!! Miley
