the day before yesterday when i got the betta his tail was full but small..not it is frayed looking this is tail rot right...what meds hsould i get at my LFS. and are these bettas prone to getting this all the time..i thought they were pretty hardy. hes in a cycled tank by himself so i dont know i thought him being in a bigger 5 g tank would help him more with his tail rot its not like hes in a 1 gallon tank
is there any home remedy that io can do for it now..i dont know if i can get to the pet store today?

they can often come to you from the pet store with finrot - it's happened to us with our 1st 2 bettas.

You can do a water change and keep his water clean, but he'll really need some treatment to clear the finrot.
