| How will my betta babies ever survive??? Ok-- I moved to the "Greater Cincinnati Area". But really I moved into my grandparent's condo in a small river town. No fish store!! I have to drive like an hour to get to any decent pet store! There is a wal mart across the river but it's fish section sucks, and speaking of sucks-- I need a sucker fish and they only have Chinese Algae eaters and I want ottos.
How will I spoil these betta babies like before. Where I lived before I had at least 3 stores that were acceptable, but there was about 8 stores within 15 min of me.
Sigh-- I guess my babies are gonna have to get used to the simple life. LOL |

| Re: How will my betta babies ever survive??? One word - DFS. Ok, that is really the initials of three words Looks like you are stuck with the internets. Better get the ole Visa out and warmed up!
Glad you are settling in, and hope you are doing ok. I have been thru what you are going through, and you will come out great on the other side, guaranteed. Only I didn't have betta fish at the time, just dogs |

| Re: How will my betta babies ever survive??? Drsfostersmith(DFS) sells oto cats through Live Aquaria. They will ship them to you over night and their prices aren't too bad either. Just a suggestion if you really wanted oto cats. Natalie |

| Re: How will my betta babies ever survive??? Not that you'd want them (otos). Just bought some and they don't seem very, well, clever. Don't they like cucumber? It's staring them in the face and they are starving. |

| Re: How will my betta babies ever survive??? Yeah, I'm just saying if you had just put it in there that might be why they aren't touching it yet. It's not yucky enough for them to eat. Oto cats also like to eat green beans( just make sure you take out the seeds), brussel sprouts, broccoli, but just give them the bottom part, not the top. I think they like spinach too, but that can be messy. They like all kinds of green vegetables. Natalie |

| Re: How will my betta babies ever survive??? Hey Genie,
Have you ever seen the old tv show "Green Acres"? You should see the walmart here.. maybe 4 feet of fish supplies, including tanks.. no live fish, no anything really.. pathetic! DFS is the way for us, or our bettas would be roughing it.
armadillo - maybe try softening the slices a little in the microwave first and see if the otos go after it any faster.
and as far as Paris Hilton goes.. is there any chance they could lose the key to her cell? PLEASE - the humanity! |

| Re: How will my betta babies ever survive??? Hi Genie, so good to hear from you. I know how frustrating it is not to have supplies nearby. We do have a Walmart, but I usually go online for stuff. You will find a way to spoil them soon!! Hope you are well and settling in..and your babies also!! Val |

Unfortunately leaving her in there for life would count as cruel & unusual punishment to the other prisoners.
Well, back on to the thread.. good luck with your babies Genie and hey, maybe if you're in st.auggie soon, you'd like a mahachai betta? |

Mico is VERY upset with me now that I have a 10g tank full of Mollies that I like to split my time with. I apparently missed the memo that read "100% of your free-time must be spent with me. Love, Mico." |

You mentioned you had a macro objective on your camera. Fancy giving a shot at photographing them? (the fry). Am really curious.
Congratulations! |

Time for plan B! | LOL.. it's not my fault! - this is america, where anybody can buy judges (i mean justice ) if they have the money.
Is plan B to smack her (i'd say smack her stupid but she's already there) with either her money, her annoyingness or her afore-mentioned stupidity?
Anyway, enough about bimbo of the century..
Genie - how are you & your babies doing? |
