...more fish!
Well, everyone, some exciting news! Until recently I had a 2.5 gallon tank I housed my very first
betta in, his name was Sade (short for Safety Demo ... yes ... I love my job!). He passed away about a month ago and I have kept his tank up and running ever since. (This tank is not to be confused with my 2.5 gallon hospital tank). I tried rescuing the betta that lives at my second job in one of those vases with the plant on top, no such luck. Manager says he belongs to her! So today I headed on over to Petsmart on a whim (more like after reading this forum...!) and began browsing through the shelves of bettas. Upon arriving at my third shelf, I immediately noticed a beautiful male betta patiently awaiting my arrival in his cup. As I looked at him, he swam up to the edge and looked at me. I even put my finger up to him and moved it from side to side to see if he would chase it ... and he did! I knew right then he was coming home with me. In the store he looked to be completely blue, a beautiful blue. Once I got him home and under the tank light I noticed that his body is a purplish-red and his fins are blue and purple. Still beautiful! I have named him Jackamino, and call him Mino for short. Hopefully later I will get some good-enough pictures that I can post them. He looks to be in extremely good health. He was active in the store and is active here in his new tank. He likes to watch me and has followed me around from side to side of his tank in accordance with my movements. Also, all of his fins look to be in excellent shape!
I think I'm in trouble, y'all. With three tanks in my apartment I'm going to run out of room before my
MTS is cured!
