Of the fish you have listed there, I would say that none of them are compatible with Bettas.* As far as the nipping goes, Angels and Tetras are bad about it for sure and Pictus Cats I am not sure of but I think they may be a bit too active for bettas.* Platies look a lot like female bettas and can cause a problem eventually with a
betta mistaking them as a threat.
Bettas grow up alone and are not used to having other fish around them and do not recognize some of them as threats and do not know that they need to share their water with the rest of them.* They will either kill them or be killed by them most of the time.* The fish I have had good luck with have been:* Otocinclus catfish; Corydorus catfish (Sterba's Cories); Dwarf Loaches.* *Some have had luck with a betta and a Mystery Snail (only one snail or you have a population explosiion) or an African Frog.* *Some have tried Ghost Shrimp but Bettas eat shrimp and usually the shrimp do not last long.* Perhaps someone else will give you some more ideas but those are mine.
