Bubble nests?
My betta at times will do to the top of the tank and (it seems) spits out little bubbles into a clump. What does this mean?

Probably making a bubblenest or it just went up to take a breath and is blowing out the excess air.. aka a bubble or 2.

yea, a lot of Bettas like to build bubble nests. Sometimes a storm coming near will trigger it, but often they just get in the mood.

Usually means he's a happy Betta If a female is in sight he will also build one.
