RJ arrived at 10:30 this morning. I almost missed him. I was so paranoid about missing him at noon or before because I had to take my dogs to the groomer. I decided to take them 2 hours early and I left the parking and saw the mail truck across the street. I said " Oh sh-t!! I've got a hurry my butt up now." I never drove so fast in my life. Here I'm thinking I was safe taking them 2 hours before arrival and he was minutes away from dropping him off. I got home and I saw him in the parking lot by the mail boxes, so I pulled up behind him and said " Excuse me I have a question." Then I saw the box with my name on it. I said" Oh, that's mine." He looked at and said " are you Natalie Pisano?" I said"Yeah. That's no longer my last name, but yeah that's me." He said" well do you have a mail key on you by chance? " I said " yeah" " he said" OK, open your mail box. I just want to make sure it's you" So I did. He said " OK, can never be too sure these days. I was just banging on your door. I said" yeah I saw you across the street when I left to take my dogs. I thought I had a couple hours because they said delivery would at noon." He said, " no, before noon. I was going to come back around noon and try delivering it again." So needless to say he is here and doing well. I have him floating right now in his bag. Yay I'm so excited. He is so darn cute. I will take pics of him later or tomorrow. I want him to get adjusted a little bit. He's pretty stressed right now. Natalie

I think I might have a conceited one on my hands. He was admiring himslef in the glass earlier. No flaring, just admiring swimming back and forth looking at himself. He was probably saying to himself, "Wow I'm a handsome little devi!" I think I might have a character on my hands once he get's aquainted with everything and everyone he lives with. I can tell already and I've only had him 5 1/2 hours. Natalie

LOL.. I'm convinced Bettas know how great they look and love to say "look at me, i'm beautiful" but some of them go to the level RJ is at and just have to look themselves too. Don't you love it when they show character right off?

Yeah, it's so funny to see. I have pics for everyone to see. I'm also in the process of downloading 2 videos of him on youtube. Once they are done I'll post the link to them here. Here are some pics. My camera really doesn't do much justice for him so I'm sorry if they didn't come too clear. I messed around with the camera for an hour last night trying to make the pics clearer and nicer looking, but we'll see how many actually came out OK. I'll try to post as many nice as possible. I also put 2 pics in of my dogs just because they're my babies and I love them to death and I can if I want to. Here they are : Natalie

RJ is a beauty, Natalie!! I get jealous when I see all the fancy guys everyone has ( Not that I don't love my Neptune in all of his fin rot splendour,cuz I do ) but I really had no idea there were so many different colours, types etc. Anyway. enjoy having a happy healthy guy who is so handsome. I am thrilled everything went well, and I would say that speaks well of the seller!

PS: Your dogs are sweet too- are they poodles? Looks like the like to pose also!!

Thanks Val. Miami Aquariums is a wonderful place to get fish from. They work with you really well. If you have a question or even a comment they get back to you right away.

As far as My dogs Patch is the older one. He'll be 5 in april and Snow is my baby. He'll be 3 in June. They are Bichon Frise/poodle mix. Very sweet dogs. I love them to death. Natalie

Well, Natalie..........Mr. Fancy Pants is quite a going concern...LOL. He is beautiful.

Makes me sad longing for Neptune's beautiful tail to grow back to all of its original glory!!
