Re: betta sick, betta experts look here

I have trying my best to help this poor person out with his betta. He thought he might have swim bladder, but he's not sure. He has the symptoms of it. I was looking through the disease chart the other day for him and with the symptoms that he has he could have 3 things. It's either constipation, swimbladder or dropsy. His betta is 3 yrs old. He says that he's been laying on the bottom of the tank and hasn't been eating much. He tried giving him a pea and he ate it for a couple days, but he said he didn't eat it yesterday. I had him move him in a hospital tank to isolate him from the other fish. I also suggested getting maracyn2 if he didnlt already have it, just incase it is dropsy. He has posted a couple pics of him.

Maybe, Rose you could possibly help him too. I am trying my hardest with him and suggesting things to him that will help. It's just hard because we don't know what he has. I don't think he has dropsy because I know that once they get that it kills them pretty fast if it's not caught and tended to right away. I think he may either have swimbladder or might be contipated. It's just hard to tell. His stomach area looks to be a little bloated. Should he get Maracyn/maracyn2 and medicate him with it anyway just to rule it out or should he just fast him for 3 days and see what happens?

I feel awful about this whole thing. Please help this poor guy. I will continue to try to help him, but I think he needs other experienced peoples advice too. Natalie
