cat-like betta

Hi ppl
* * * * * *does anyone else have a betta that is more cat-like than fish-like lol one of our female bettas(bluey) is ultra curious about everything.
if we put our hand in the tank she is the first one to come, add a fish and she goes and see it, she finds the slighest thing and investigates it, put in the net for a fish and she gets in it (annoying sometimes), she acts like a cat curled up and ready to pounce its extremely funny to watch, does anyone have a fish like ours its great lol.
we nearly lost her as she had a severe case of mouth fungus for 3 weeks but we saved her and she is back entertaining us again,

Re: cat-like betta

My betta is like that. They can be quite intelligent and very curious, specially if they've got some room to move around.

Re: cat-like betta

All of mine are SO afraid that something is going to go on in their surroundings that they do not know about. Alexander even checks under the plants every day to see if there is anything new under there. He has a regular route he covers after his breakfast. I think he is actually looking for crumbs left from the snail pellets but they are good little "vacuum cleaners" and hardly ever leave him anything. He does LOVE those pellets though. I think they have shrimp in them.

But for the rest of the day they glide around through the water and watch me or the Animal Planet on TV. Yes, they have the TV on for them. I have one on in the bedroom for Emma as she is alone almost all day and Sara just got one in the dining room although hers is only a small one. The boys have the big one in the den to watch that is right beside me at the computer desk and so they can keep an eye on me and the Animal Planet at the same time. I guess you would say they are a bit spoiled.
