Female Bettas

A few questions:
1 - Do they blow/make bubbles like the males? My new female is making bubbles over the top of the tank. Not clusters, just little random bubbles.
2 - Do they all fill with eggs? Or only after you condition them? If they all fill, what should I do?

I'm new to the female betta world.
And to be honest, my little girl has more personality than my boys. She flies to the front of the tank when she sees me & will follow my finger across the tank. AND she's growing pretty quick. She's my new baby.

1) Yes! Cami's bubble nest

2) Not sure, sorry.

I've never had a male, I have a soft spot for female bettas.

My girl Riviera (RIP) dropped eggs once... and promptly ate them. I'm not sure if they all do, but, if your girl does, don't worry about it, she'll take care of herself

Oh, thanks. I was worried about her possibly becoming egg-bound or something.

Wow Lucy! That was one busy girl!

I think Lucy just posted something about one of her girls making bubble nests.
They do fill with eggs sometimes, even without conditioning or male presence, but they will simply reabsorb the eggs after a little while.

Wow, I got ninja'd bad there.

Some of them do get eggy a lot more visibly than others, so it may or may not look like she does, but any healthy female will have some eggs ready to be fertilized most of the time. It's quite rare for females to become egg-bound, so not something to worry over. Conditioning mostly makes sure the egg quality (especially the yolk, since that's what nourishes the lil ones through their first days) is top-notch, and that both parents are in peak physical condition to be able to breeze through the demands spawning takes on their bodies.

Alright, thanks everyone. I think that I'll be able to see the eggs on my girl, she's almost transparent she's so white.
