Well I woke up this morning and instead of getting up to shower sat and watched the 5 gal at the foot of my bed, and lo and behold what do I see through the algae... Ember (who'd been well behaved for months) was beating on the Cory's. This was a full out war he'd flare up huge then strike like a snake at them. They'd freeze he'd swim away but as soon as one moved he was back again.

I jarred him and then had to make a tough call, which of my other fish would be cool with the Cory's? Then I noticed Babie, cruising around her tank. She'd been in with other fish before no issues on her end (Red wasn't very appreciative however). So I scooped her up and make the switch.

She'd barely been in the tank for 5 minuets and the Cory's were already much happier. I'll keep watch because she has had a tank to herself for awhile but so far it doesn't look like there'll be a problem. As for Ember... For the first time ever my bush boy is not only in a tank by himself, but one that he can't hide in. He looks a bit out of place but I think that he'll settle in.

ohh how our betta babies can be such brats at times lol..
Good thing you noticed it right away. Poor lil cories... getting beat up by the big ole grouch! haha..

Well I'm home from classes and all seems well. Looks like Ember has the beginnings of a bubble nest in the 5 gal, and Babie and the Cory's look content. It might be for the best, Babie actually acknowledges my presence on the other side of the glass, unlike another boy who shall remain nameless...
