big stomach?

I've noticed that my betta's stomach is getting bigger so i've been feeding him less. He's still fat but he's eating well and moves around. what could it be?

I'm sorry you're betta is bloated.

Is he 'going' normally? He could be constipated. What are you feeding him and how often?
Is he pine coning?

If he's constipated, it would be a good idea to fast him for a day. Then offer him a couple of bits (the size of his eye) of thawed, frozen, shelled pea or freeze dried daphnia.

Hopefully thats all it is. Good luck.

I do feed him peas, he'll eat anything I feed him veggies, floating pellets, bloodworm, flakes, and sinking pellets. He's swimming fine but tends to swim up and down is not very active besides that.

Was he more active before the bloating?
You didn't saying if he was pooing normally.
How much and how many times a day was he eating?

Go ahead and try fasting him, no matter how much he pouts and dances. It won't hurt him to go a day or even two with out a meal.
Then peas or daphnia then fast him again.

See if that helps.
If you can rule out over feeding or constipation, I would suspect internal parasites.

He was more active and he ate 3 pellets and 2 bloodworms a day. It's been 3 days without food and he's really begging for food. I'll see if i can find daphnia. I hope he'll be ok. I fed him a bloodworm to stop his dancing just now, i'll see if he gets better.
