my new betta attacked

oh no my poor little boy was attaked last nite....
i had to do a lot of shiffting as a temp measure as my red fin shark, rummy nosed tetras had been attakin him while i was at work i have a 16 lt tank but it has a mirror at the back so i have put the bullies in there and he seems ok now i hope.
he has some tatty fins bless him.... i had to do some thing quick as i didn't want it to get any worse, and was at work at 8am till 3pm. is there any thing i can do to help repair the fins....i have got him anew tank and have also got a breeding floating tank to put him in at the mo while his new tank is getting ready...

Sorry about your betta
I had a similar thing happen to my betta a week or so ago due to a divider malfunction. The best thing to do is daily water changes to prevent infection, add garlic juice (or Garlic Guard) to the water to help his immune system, and some kind of stress coat. There's alot of other products that are useful, like Atison's betta spa, VitaChem, and Fish Protector. Good luck!

With lots of love and care his fins will be good as new again. I'm currently fighting fin issues with one of my boys right now. I think I'll swear of crowntails after this lol.

Awww.. So sorry to hear that Dj-VR6.. fortunatly his fins will grow back. Stress Caot and Vita Chem will help his fins repair. They will come back as good as new. Good Luck. Let us know how he is doing.

Where is your "other boy" located?

Red tailed sharks (because they are agressive) and tetras (because they are nippy) are among the worst tankmates a betta could ever have (if any). The only things that you could keep one with, and not be so worried of him attacking or being attacked are ottos and cories.

Stress coat should really help. Also, If you could get some garlic juice into his food that would be very helpful.

Good luck, I hope your boy gets better.

I'm so sorry to hear your betta was attacked.

You can find Garlic Guard at a fish store or you can use a little garlic juice from a jar of minced garlic found in grocery stores.
It should help his immune system

I hope he recovers quickly.
