Hi: i have 16-betta's so far and i was reading a post that you wrote regarding vita-Chem and do you use this daily for them to keep them healthy? as i am going today and would like to get some. thanks and i am new.bella

16 BETTAS!!! holy cow!!! when did that happen?

i'm not cobetta, but here's how i use the vita-chem. normally only once a week, but if one of my bettas is healing, like from fin rot or some other ailment, then i use it every day till they're better.

I agree with Minx in regards to the vitachem. It is definetly something good to have on hand. I know that for sick fish, Dave (cobettacouple) usually recommends using garlic guard and fish protector.

i found it at petco.

i saw the almond leaf extract on the package and looked closer

here's what the package says:

FRONT:
-Almond leaf extract as safeguard against disease and stress
-Natural Yucca and Almond extracts to help keep water clean
-calcium and sodium for a balanced environment

BACK:
-natural, botanic
-contains anti-bacterial and stress relieving properties
-yucca extract binds amonia
-calcium activates muscles and develops strong bones and scales
-lowers pH and absorbs harmful chemicals and heavy metals
-adds essential trace elements
-ideal for conditioning for spawning, activity and coloration
-will make bubble nests stronger

in essence, MIRACLE JUICE!!! i got it at petco.

Sounds good but I would wonder how much it lowers the ph and how much sodium(salt ) is in it before using it. I know I'm a suspicious old woman when it comes to adding chemicals to my babies tanks.

I love attisons, whenever Balthier had an accident with his fins, adding that stuff got them healed and prevented infection.. plus every time I add it, he goes inmediately in bubble nesting mode.

With the new formula, we put one drop of vita-chem per gallon into each tank every other day.
