I will be going to Florida to visit my Mom on (November 1st - November 11th)who has just been diagnosed with bullous emphysema which is a lung disorder precancerous Anyway Myself and my Daughter (prego) and her son, My grandson Dylan are taking the train from NY to Florida and we will be gone 11 days total.I will be leaving my Beautiful betta Babies in my husbands care,my concern is he'll over feed them At first I mentioned his taking care of them and he replied there cat toys right He thought it was funny...Anyway I was thinking if he just feed them every other night the frozen Bloodworm,brine shrimp,Daphna cubes divided by 8 they should be alright till I get home,As I'm sure he wouldn't do any water changes either
I do not really feel safe with the feeder cube as I have heard to many horror stories about them.How does this sound?Does anyone have any other suggestions?

ahh shell im sorry about your mom...I hope things work out ok!! the feeding
sounds perfect~~ and someone on another thread suggested one of those pill bottles with the 7 days on it maybe pre store the food in there for each day? your babies will be fine without water changes and im sure you are really going to be snubbed by them when you get home!! so be prepared LOL

I went a way for a few weeks and when I got back Coolie flared at me constantly as though by being in the room I was invading his territory. lol.

Thanks everyone,I just figured if they weren't overfeed or starved they would be ok with out there usual water changes,and it would be easier for hubby
I'm sure there going to be miffed with me for a while I know I will be missing them...But I do plan on introducing my Mom to them I think she'll love them as much as I do I'm thinking it might be good therapy for her

I'm really sorry about your mom.
The 7 day pill container is a good idea.
When I went away for a couple days My husband was afraid he'd over feed. I used those little paper condiment cups that you use at fast food restrurants. 1 feeding per cup, it made it easy for him.
