This is the roundest girlie betta ive ever seen!!! Im not sure if shes constipated, full of eggs, or what...either way, shes visiting jenny craig with me!! aka a bit of pea and fasting every other day...shes a feisty one for sure and is always flairing and swimming thru her plants and toys...

| Your new betta babies are all so cute Shawnie I think that it may be bloat. I had a female that had a similar situation going on. Unfortunately, she didn't make it (not that I am saying that anything will happen to your little girl). You might want to try feeding her some peas. That would help the constipation if that is what it is. | |

| Chubalina is a very apt name for her. She does look extremely bloated, though, and I hope she'll be okay with your TLC. It's a great sign that she seems so active. She's a crowntail. I love the first picture of her!
And you finally got the girls you've been wanting for such a long time, plus a new beautiful boy too! I think Sarabi is probably a delta tail, possibly with beginning crowntail beginnings since she's still a baby, don't know about Nala except that she seems to be a butterfly, and Pumbaa appears to be a glorious combtail! I'm no expert, but am really interested in betta types, so someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

| ty everyone! shes still working the wasteline LOL ...shes in between two boys so im hoping to keep her active or maybe release the eggs...one or the other ...although I did break down last night and give her 2 bloodworms..she was pouting as if it were chocolate and I gave in LOL | |

| She probably got full of eggs seeing the male. Sometimes sight of another Betta stimulates them. As for me I cannot tell the females tail types apart except when CT's crown is defined...I see that BB's tail is different from Hera when side by side. Not much of difference tho.
I would try fasting her for a day or two (hard I know lol). Then see what's up. She doesn't have the shape that Holly had so that is a good thing. | |

maybe you should put her with a male with bubble nest, release the eggs and cull them if you don't want babies. seems like it would be very uncomfortable.

| I had a female like that too...I have heard that female Bettas are more prone to constipation than the Males.Like MissMTS my girl did not make it either but she had been left out in the hall for who knows how long by a student before I found her..so your situation with your girl is different for sure. I would give a pea or daphnia and see if some of the bloating goes down. | |
