Re: Home for a betta???

Seeing as how its in about 2 cups of water, I'd say no. But they've been sold like that for years. At least there are air holes, unlike the ones with the plants on top of the vase that come with instructions that the fish don't need to be fed cuz they'll eat the plant's roots and don't need air.

I know, its so inhumane! Its horrible, how can anyone keep them in such tiny little pots?

Re: Home for a betta???

Well in nature, they tend to live in little mud puddles. At least theoretically its cleaner water.

But the bettas we get from the LFS are demesticated to a point so they should have better homes than that.

Re: Home for a betta???

In my opinion, anyone putting a Betta in one of those should be sealed in their shower and not let out for a year.

correct chickadee, they must be made to live in their wastes! poor little betta. There was one at my pet store in one of those things, I wanted to cry cos he looked so sad, and seemed sick.

I know its sad to see these little guys in there, but you gotta admitt. The tank looks cool(if it didn't have the fish in there).
