Maybe, I'll try to find a different brand and see if that is true with my Blue Eyes. I've already tried the Hikari and Aqua Culture betta foods and she didn't seem to like these. Thanks.

Doesn't like Aqua Culture Pellets?? If my hand slips when feeding Mango his pellets, I'll try to grab any extra pellets but he will try to tear my finger apart if I get near his pellets. He'll eat them all (the most I've ever slipped was 5 or 6), but then he doesn't get dinner, just to keep things in check. But enough of my stories. I saw some tetramin flakes made for betta consumption if pellets just aren't her thing, but it seems the pellets are the best way to go since they enhance health and coloration. You are what your eat and bettas are no different

One of my female bettas is tiny. I've been crushing her pellets down with the back of a spoon and sprinkling them in her bowl. The regular pellets are too big.

But that's the thing, she knows exactly what they are and I mean she won't touch nothing of them at all. I guess she can taste them when it hits the water and knows what it is. The pet store here (walmart) has the tetramin and I will try them to test and see, but I dought she'll eat them considering I tried flake foods with her and was refused. As of now its only blood worms and I am researching other single foods to give along to make her diet complete. Now for other awesome news. I finally got them their permanent homes that they are very happy about. I found a place in the house that the temps are steady and where it needs to be. The 10g tanks I had in my storage shed were not good after thorough cleaning so I bought 3 new ones that just came out and they are just the right size for one fish to swim with great gleam. They are by Tetra and even though it says 1.5g it looks bigger and has plenty of swim room. It comes with a filtering media and an ornament. It also has an air pump to power the filter and gives plenty of extra oxygen needed for them. All I had to do is buy the gravel media. I had used the jewels and it looks great. The female is doing sooo well that I am filled with great happiness and I owe it to all of you out there that helped. A GREAT BIG THANKS GUYS!!!! I have learned a lot and will continue to learn more. This forum has been a great education tool for the beginner. Thanks Fishlore.

If you could buy or order New Life Spectrum "Grow" pellets, they're only .5mm in diameter and even our tiny baby angels easily gobble them up.
