he is then he isent with out me doing any thing just as a preventive

As long as it is a treat instead of a meal replacement unless he is really constipated it is okay. If he is constipated then you should use it instead of one of his meals. But if you are just trying to keep him from getting constipated then you should give it to him as a treat.
