Big Problem help Rose

I have a big problem. My betta won't stop flaring at his reflection in the walls of the tank. I can't get rid of the reflection either. I put up two different color backgrounds, tried towel, different light bulbs, none of them worked. He is stressing himself out and getting all tired, what can I do to make him stop.

Re: Big Problem help Rose

Is the light in the room on or do you have sunshine in the room? If the room is too light or too dark the walls will reflect even more. I am concerned that there is constant flaring as it is very bad for there constitution for them to flare more that 10 minutes at a time. you may have to leave the light off for a while. My only background that works with the tank for the Marty who is super spooky is a solid dark blue. For some reason it doesn't seem to reflect as much but you have to get it right up against the glass and not leave any room between it and the glass or it will still reflect. If needs be you may have to come around the sides part way to cut down on the glare from the light in the room. Some Little Buddies are super sensitive to their own reflections and spooky (I know Marty was) and it is difficult to find a remedy. Do try to find either a plain dark blue or black with no pattern to go on the background and wrap around the sides at least half way on both sides. It won't be quite as pretty at first but the side backgrounds will be able to be removed soon with any luck.
