I have forgotten what little characters female betta are.
Last night I was trying to get them to hop out of the water at me to see how high they could go. Not too far btw, lol
BUT BB jumped up high enough to latch onto my pinky finger nail.
Lila kept hopping over the thermometer in a few time in a row trying to get my attention. If a cat goes on the desk beside their tank....they both swimm as far as they can to chase the kitty. They swim around like little humming birds...always fluttering around their 5g space.
I think I may have to give Walmart another visit this week...they had quite a few little girls who were nice looking.

Oh gosh yes. They fight constanly with just the 2 in such a small tank. Never two betta male or female in a 10g together.

LOL, I love the girls.. It's funny, but Angel get jealous now if she sees me holding one of the Guinea Pigs Stacy got for her bday.

My daughter has an empty 10g, she hasn't wanted fish since the birthday guppy incident.
Lately she's been talking about getting a betta.

The tank is almost cycled, I have to get her a heater and a thermometer because I stole hers when I set up my first tank. lol

That is so funny. My cat Lucky gets jealous when she hears me talking to the fish. She'll come running over rubbing on my legs and all chatty. I must talk in the same tone to all my pets. I have called the cats fish many times.

They are sooo tough! Chasing the cat away, ferocious betta girls! Hehe.

The cats don't even notice the fish...so the attitude is completely wasted on them.

One of my girls is a real jumper. She's in such a hurry to get her food she keeps jumping at me if I'm not fast enough. It really freaks me out. I don't want to have to pick her up off the floor or try to catch her if she leaps out at me.

I call my girl cats and betta "pretty girls"...that could explain why Lucky (female kitty) has been soo silly the past week. Coming running out of no where...thinking I am talking to her.
