| Came home with 3 babies :)
I went out looking for ONE new betta for my husband. He was feeling bad because he didn't have a tank in our room yet, but all the kids did.
Well, there were two others I couln't put back. I promise to stay away from the pet stores from now on.
Intoducing......FLEUR.... my new little tiny girl. She's a CT.
Albus....my new little white and gray CT.
Levi....my husband's new HM. He's a little shy. |

| I have 6 boys and 2 girls. Along with a 29g and a 55g with about 25 livebearers...mollies, guppies, and platys. I can't imagin having an open house and having people walk through. They would think I'm crazy...which I must be. My kids are animal lovers but we can only do fish because of allergies. I lost one of my molly boys earlier this week after trying hard to nurse him back to health. He was a favorite that we'd had since he was born about 6 months ago. I must have fallen into a fish depression that can only be remedied by looking at pics of all the beautiful bettas.
I went to 5 petstores the other day until I finally found the ones I wanted to bring home. One of the Petco's nearby had the healthiest and best selection of bettas. It is in an upscale town nearby compared to the Petco nearest me. They had a bunch of VT boys and girls, but also about 10 HM, 10 DT, and 20 CT. I had never seen the HMs or DTs at any local stores.
I also priced the 2.5 and 5g tanks at all the stores, but ended up at Walmart, where I've bought all my small tanks. The same tanks run $10-$15 more at Petco. I was lucky enough to only need 1 new tank because of some empty ones I had.
These are my bettas. It's funny but the first one I bought is Turquois in the picture, but now he's dark blue with some red. One of the new boys also tried to bury himself in his marbles. I read a post about that recently, I thought he was going suicidal.

You can read up on all the different types of fins Betta's have. They're very Beautiful
