what is wrong with my female betta?

Well for the longest time I felt that Darling, my female betta was holding eggs. She has been huge for over three weeks. Now she looks like she swallowed a rectangle box! Not only that, but she looks like she has a tumor sticking out of the side as well. I have fasted her and gave her some pieces of pea to see if she is constipated. Any thoughts on what else I can be doing for her?
EDIT: I have added some photos below...

Hi Shawnie
She is in a divided tank with Precious the other female. On each side of that tank are the boys tanks. So the females are in the middle tank. They are separated by about 4 inches from the boys tanks. I was hoping that she was just holding and that its not serious. I did put her in Phoenix's tank with a divider in hopes that she may drop the eggs. But Phoenix had no interest in building a bubble nest and was more interested in her roomie, Precious. Darling didnt do anything but get moved around in the current from the filter which was on her side of the divider. I kept her there over night and the next day put her back in her tank.

Thanks Shawnie, I hope she does ok too. She has got to be pretty uncomfortable at that size. Did you notice the last photo? You can clearly see the [point] of her bulge. uggghh... it does look painful. Thats the one that has me really concerned now.

Hi Friend, sorry to hear that Darling is having problems. Is she acting normal and eating?? I don't have any advice cuz I know you are as caring as can be, but I will follow to see how she does, and what others with more betta girl experience suggest.

Besides I wanted to say hello, and send a hug and let you know I am thinking of you and her.

Usually when girls are just eggy they're a bit more... symmetrical...
Something's not quite right with her, but I'm not sure what exactly. The first thing that comes to mind would be constipation, especially if she's seeming happy and healthy other than looking weird and bumpy.
Hopefully someone will have seen this before!

Hello Val, thank you and its nice to hear from you too. She is eating well and acting ok. So her condition has me baffled... If it is constipation, Im continuing to feed her solely peas for the time being. As long as she is hungry she will eat them.

Besides I wanted to say hello, and send a hug and let you know I am thinking of you and her.

Hello Pandora, you are right, there is something not quite right about her being weird shaped and bumpy. I would assume that if she was holding she would be only rounded. I remember Allies female being round and chubby from holding eggs. Hopefully Allie will see this thread and be able to let me know what she thinks about it.

Kate, I'm really sorry your baby isn't feeling well. I haven't run into egg holding with Prissy, if I do, I'm sure I'll panic and post about it.
I hope that's all that's going on with Darling.

Sending good thoughts your way.

Kate,

I'm thinking about you and Darling, too. I hope this will turn out to be something minor and not major, but it certainly sounds worrisome. Sending hugs your way. They CAN recover from what seems like a fatal illness, though.

Is she still acting and eating as usual? Are her colors dull, or is she lethargic?

She looks a lot like our little Sweetie. She's been like that for almost a year now, we're guessing it's a cyst with her. She does have a little trouble swimming around but is happy (with happy bars) and eats fine.

Thank you Lucy, Pam and Dave for your support.
Darling is eating... and swimming around, maybe not as much or as fast as usual but heck.. when I was big with baby.. I didnt move around fast either lol..
Dave, it does look like a cyst that has gotten larger quickly. But she is still being fasted from her normal foods so that she will take the pea readily. I have to try that first to see if its constipation.. but at this point it does look like a cyst and also possible egg holding. Glad to hear that your lil girl is doing ok with the cyst. Sometimes cyst just do not develop into anything more. Im hoping that this one does not continue to grow, then she will have problems.
