I recently added an air stone to Balthier's tank due to the lack of aeration in those hex tanks, but since then he hasnt been able to build his bubble nests.

do you guys think he'll be ok if I leave the air stone off in the night so that he can build his nests? (thats when he ussually does it, and I dont want to stress him prevening him from doing his nests.

You could try giving him a 'bubble nest zone" by clipping a half of a styrofoam bowl to the side of the tank, low enough to give him a surface that's calm but still allow the aeration.
