| Have you ever seen a baby crowntail?
Well I have! And he came home with me! I went to buy my girl and he was screaming at me "pick me pick me".....
I'll take some pictures later when he settles in but his name is "Marquee" The best part of this is I didn't have to explain why I bought another one! lololol Steve knows better than to even ask and the boys are gone! Maybe this empty nest thing isn't so bad after all!  |

| Yes, I always have a cycled tank ready....I would never do that to a baby....And I don't buy my Bettas on impulse...I always plan ahead....But thank you for asking lol

Casper was so small and all my sorority girls were the smallest I have seen.
Yes one more excuse to get more fish is always a good thing.
I think I am going to get females too for my next rescues. But they still have HMS and delta tail at the place I got my last 3 boys.  | |

| Thanks guys and gals for all the nice comments on my new baby boy.....I awoke this morning to his big black eyes staring at me lol....That 1st night is always scary ya know.....
Now I'm going to try and answer all of the questions you asked......
Yes, I got him at Petco...I'm really liking what they have had available lately and everyone I have bought has remained healthy...When I go to buy a fish I spend at least 30 minutes looking and comparing..I do one more thing that some may frown on but I put the cups face to face to see the boys flare...I can see any physical problems this way and can also tell alot about attitude....They have to pass the test along with being unique....I'm not saying I haven't done my share of rescuing the ones in need because I have...Lenox and Jagger are my true rescues...Both of them would have died had they not come home with me that day....
Now as far as what tank he went into well.....I would no way put him in the tank my girl is going in....It's too PINK! lol....I did something I said I'd never do.....I divided my 10 gallon tank.....I put him in with Lenox..I bought the divider and it fits really snug so I'm hoping all goes good...They were both on their own side this morning so that's a good thing! lol...
This little guy has the cutest face I have EVER seen! His eyes melt my heart....He's a tea tiny little guy...Body is about an inch long .....He is just what the Dr. ordered for my empty nest!
Thank you Jacq for the name.....It is really perfect! I'll be taking more shots of Zero today...Here is another one from last night...He settled right in like he has been here all his life!
