He's a handsome and happy boy.. I love watching them explore when they realize they have more room. I know you'll have him healed up soon.

sorry they arent quality pics... but the little guy is so happy with his new home he can barely stop moving around!
The poor thing swims with his ventral fins close to his body... (since they are completely peeled...) and hes also missing a lot of scales in his head as you can see...
They LOVE the computer! Angel & Sweetie are the 'computer fishies' here and totally spoiled by it.

I am soooooo happy that HE is happy
Congratulations on a beautiful, happy boy! His tank looks awesome and give him all kinds of love from me on his bubble nest (or, as my 5-year-old niece calls it: his bubble mess!)!

His "bubble mess" -- that is soooo cute!!
Congrats on your new boy! I know you really had a time of it with that tank of yours, but it looks *amazing* and I'll bet he is about a million times happier now to be in his little home... it was well worth it!
Alessa, try putting your hand on the side of his tank several times a day and talking to him. He will hear your voice and get to know you and you do not have to shout just talk normally. the sound will travel in through your hand and he will learn his "mommy's voice" and come to the front when you talk to him. He needs to get to know you and know that someone loves him. They learn to be attached very fast and if your boyfriend wants to do this too he will get to know you both. Just don't be too loud with him if he has been traumatized as he will be skittish for a while until he is sure no one will hurt him. But they like their humans and want to get to know you so it will not be something that will be hard to do. He wants to know you and love you so give it a try and the more that you do it the better he will get at it.
LOL.. One of our 2 new Bettas that we got a week & a half ago.. finally got pics today when our friend came over and (lost ours somehow in the move) and will post them tom. after working them.. does the same thing with the turkey baster. Some just have this desire to attack turkey basters!
Jericho & Sammy, the 2 new Bettas, were timid at first, but we did like Rose said.. just would slowly put a hand or finger up to the side of the tank and let them explore at their own speed while talking softly to them. Less than 2 weeks and they've really gotten used to the attention. You'll enjoy watching him develop that.

OMG!!! im doing it right now and he looks at my hand like
hes such a clever boy!!! and he says "hi everyone"
Congrats Alessa!! Oh your little boy looks so happy in there. Makes me want to get another tank and get my own betta boy. MTS is brewing in me but my mom won't let it take over. She doesn't want tanks all over the house
Wow awesome video! He sure thinks he's cool in that little cave... hehehe.
I just realized watching this that I have never owned one of the "Cambodian" bettas; they are so exotic and graceful-looking, now I HAVE to have one... drat, but that MTS is contagious!
Your boy looks quite content and peaceful Alessa, and I'm so glad to see him swimming around in all that space that you worked so very hard to prepare for him!
the only decent picture I have gotten out of this hyperactive boy
Looks like my little Navajo (opposite of hyperactive!) needs to take some lessonss from Baltheier! I love Cambodians like him - I wish I could have a female in my communtiy but I'm afraid that apistos and betta are a volatile mix.
