I hope they aren't living in those death bowls! Betta need an even temp without any fluctuation and a low flow filter to thrive.
Does the fish have a white spot near it anal fin? If so it's a female. If not i's looks like a halfmoon plakat betta boy.

That green fish is gorgeous no matter what sex it is.......PLEASE get him out of that tiny bowl and into something that has filtration and heat as soon as possible...

They're both very pretty.
I agree with Allie and Martinismommy.
I'm hoping you have something else ready for them.

The other thing I would add, is your little guy on the right, if he has the same plastic plant as the one on the left, he could easily snag his fins.

Good luck with them.

I agree with Lucy about the plant...they feel soft but I have a deltatail and had a plant like that in with him and he tattered his fins on it. I now have a java fern in with him and hope they are getting better.

The fish Both need to be in tanks instead of bowls and both need to have heaters and filters and they are both males so they cannot be kept together. I think the green one is a male plakat and the red one is a male veiltail.

They will neither one last long in those bowls with no heat or filtration with that amount of water and all. Sorry but you were given some poor advice as to their needs when you purchased them.
