| Calendar ordering website Our 2009 calendar is completed and ready to order......I decided to put it up on Zazzle so everyone can order when they are ready and have it shipped directly to you....It's a couple dollars more but I think this will work out better for all of us....
I'd like to thank everyone who submitted their photos...I'm sorry I could not include everyone this year but I promise I'll be doing this again.....
Here's the link.....Enjoy! http://www.zazzle.com/martinismommy/...45430927943570 |

| Karen,
I'm still planning to order three calendars, but I can't decide about the sizes. One will be the "small" size and one either "small" or "standard." These are for gifts.
For my house, I'm thinking of either "standard" or "huge." I'm wondering, since these are user-submitted photos, that perhaps some are not high-res enough for those sizes. I know if you selected the calendar sizes yourself that you wouldn't have offered "huge" if you thought the print would not be of good quality. But I don't know how Zazzle works and wonder if those sizes are a Zazzle default. Can you please advise?
Also, I'm guessing some fish lovers, even non- betta-fanatics, would appreciate the opportunity to buy the calendar. What do you and others think? If I'm guessing right, could I have your permission to post the link in the General Discussion forum for those who might not frequent the Betta forum? Or would you rather do this yourself? Or would you rather not? I'm thinking we could post the link now and revive the thread or start a new one later in the year when people are more inclined to think about 2009 calendars. |

| Pam,
Of course you have my permission to cross post the link.....Feel free to share it with anyone who adores the finbabies...Steve is even hanging one in his office at work lol....Now for him to do that it has to tell you something! He even gathered information about all my tanks so he can answer questions lol...He asked me the dreaded question "How many tanks do you have Karen" Duh! count them Steve lol
I sized the calendars to print out on the 11x17 format....It apprears that they will work on any size Zazzle offers but I haven't ever ordered the small or large ones..I always order the medium size....
The photos inside the calendar are all high resolution and print our beautirul....The tiny photos on the memorial page won't print out real clear but because they are on the back I don't think it will be a problem..
I hope this info is helpful....Let me know if you have any further questions.... |

| I ordered the huge one with silver wire. I just decided to take the chance. I know that the photos may not be quite as clear but I will be placing it across the room and it will be clear enough to be fine for me. If I get any for gifts later I will probably get the normal size. But I wanted a very large one for myself.
I look forward to next year's offerings already and would encourage those who did not get their fish in this year to start trying to get good high resolution pictures to post to Karen starting now. It can be maddening with the effort with some of the little naughty ones.
I am going to make the suggestion also that those who have fish in this years calendar or at least the fish who appear in this year's calendar do not appear in the next year's calendar unless we do not get enough good quality fish photos of those who have not already been featured so as to make it an entirely new and different calendar next year. With the number of fish that we have on this board surely there are enough out there to make a totally new and different calendar with new fish featured. This gives you all a whole year to get busy with the picture taking and so let's get to it.
I want to take this opportunity to thank Karen again for the lovely job she did in putting this together and offering it to us. It is more work than we realize I am sure. Thank you and we hope you sell a million of them!

I just hope it will be a little extra plug for all your hard work, and that more people will get to enjoy the calendar.
That's funny what you said about Steve. Maybe you will be the next lucky one suddenly finding a new tank. He seems so supportive. Then again, perhaps you'll suddenly step in it because Steve didn't know not to fill it on the floor. |

| I received the calendars today! That was superfast printing and service from Zazzle and UPS. (I didn't upgrade the shipping.)
The standard size (11" x 17") is even more beautiful in the print version than it looks online. As Karen said, it's on high quality stock and very nicely printed.
The small (7" x 11") did not fare as well. It's the cutest little thing and the photos look great, but the months are out of order. Perhaps the good folks at Zazzle got Bedazzled by the amazing array of betta colors and fin types represented? Also, the medium size calendar works better for the sizing of the graphics. |

| Hmm.. has anyone else got the 7x11 and had out-of-order months? You might email them and see about a replacement one. |

Did everything fit??
Let me know what Zazzle does to correct this problem please..They have never messed up anything in the past so I'm sure they'll make this right....If not, I'll change printers... |

| I would like to say that this is okay. Karen don't stress about it .... it is not your fault in any way. Zazzle is totally responsible and will have to make it right for anyone who is going to make them do it. I for one will just roll with the punches if mine is out of order. As long as all the months are there I do not care. I just want the babies to all be there and like I said when life gives you lemons you just make lemonade.
Once the order comes from Zazzle it is the responsibility of the purchaser to handle it so please do not flood Karen with requests to do something about it. Just contact Zazzle yourself if you want them to do something about it. Please do not post here either. It is in poor taste to complain to someone who really cannot do anything to remedy the situation. She made us a beautiful calendar and let's not make her feel bad about what is beyond her control.
I ordered 2 more today a small one and a normal one so I now have one of each size on order.
Thanks,

| I wrote to Zazzle last night and they got back very promptly, early this morning. They sent a link to a pre-paid return shipping label! How often does that happen even when the sender is at fault? They offered a refund or replacement. I haven't seen customer service this good for a while.
Rose,
I wasn't complaining to Karen at all. I have nothing but the highest compliments for her lovely work. I'm sorry if it somehow appeared that I pointed a finger at Karen or somehow came across that this minor boo-boo was a big deal. BTW, it would have been fine as is for myself, but it's for a gift. |

| pam,
I was not specifically pointing a finger at anyone. I simply wanted to try to keep this from being a thread of complaints about all the calendar problems that there was nothing to be done about but to reply to Zazzle. That is all. Thank you for letting us know that they are correcting the situation.
